ACCOMMODATION REVIEW
Celtic Manor HotelSet in a private estate of 1,400 acres and surrounded by over 20,000 acres of scenic parkland and forest, the Celtic Manor Resort is one of the finest international hotel and golf resorts in Europe. Central to the resort are its three golf courses, all of which were designed by the renowned Trent Jones family. The jewel in the crown of Celtic Manor however, is undoubtedly the Wentwood Hills course, which plays annual host to the Wales Open and is one of the frontrunners to host the 2010 Ryder Cup.

Having only opened in 1999, the hotel itself is quite superb and just one year after opening, was named 'Hotel of the Year for Wales' by the AA. Combining Celtic themes and classical elegance, the range and quality of accommodation at Celtic Manor is stunning. Guests may choose from 400 luxury rooms and suites, offering every conceivable modern amenity and very much designed with the needs of the business person in mind.

In the hotel itself, guests may choose between the lively and informal Olive Tree Restaurant, with its Mediterranean cuisine; and the boldly stylish Owens Restaurant, which features a modern Celtic menu. The range of leisure facilities at Celtic Manor is simply breathtaking. Dylans Health and Fitness Club, which features a superb Roman style pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, is located in the clubhouse; while The Forum Club and Spa, situated in the hotel, features a range of therapies and beauty treatments alongside a gymnasium, spa bath, hair salon, sauna and pool.

ONLINE GOLF TRAVEL RATING
You certainly won't find a better place to rest your head in southern Wales. Perfect for the golfer in that there are three courses on-site, while Royal Porthcawl, St. Pierre and Southerndown are all just a short drive away.
